Location Reccees

 Park setting:

Due to this part of the production being a public park, we will need to reach out to the council of that area and request permission to film here, more often than not there will be a fee to film which must be taken into the budget of £8500.

Bristol St Andrews Park:

Pros

- Large open space, allowing for easier movement and transportation of equipment

- well kept as wanted, fits with the concept

-Terrain looks mostly flat which further eases any transportation difficultuies

-Nearby to locations that could be used in second setting

-Large amount of greenery which fits the colour scheme

Cons

-Popular park so would have to block off access to the public

- Not as many flower beds as hoped for so the aesthetic is slightly reduced

- Is quite a way away so accommodation would have to be considered

cost: £350

Coombe Abbey Coventry

 Pros:

-Beautiful location near water and vegetation

- Relatively flat ground

-Not very expensive to film

-very large park with different areas to film in

cons:

-Close to water which is a hazard

-parking is a distance from filming location, making transportation difficult

-very popular location so would have to block off from the public

cost: £120

I have decided to use St Andrews park in Bristol as my location because, even though it a little more expensive to use, it is safer and near potential locations for set 2, potentially minimising the need to travel to a different location.

Set 2

For this set I have decided to use a location in Bristol to minimise the travel and accommodation costs we would gain from traveling to a different location.

Bristol register office:

Pros:

-Modern and aesthetically pleasing, adds to aesthetic of the video

-Can book with the same people as st Andrews park

-Easy accessibility making equipment transportation easier

-Sticks with natural colours, further running with colour scheme

cons:

-Slightly smaller than originally pictured

-No vegetation on the exterior

-No elevator, meaning risk carrying equipment up stairs

Cost: £275

Kings Weston House

 Pros;

-Venue size is perfect

- Vegetation on exterior

-Beautiful aesthetic, photo already matching the layout wished for

-Venue on bottom floor making transportation of equipment easier

Cons;

-No reception area meaning the beginning of scene would have to be relocated outside

-Popular venue so is difficult to get a venue

-Not located too close to any accommodation

Cost: £550

I have decided to go with the Bristol register office as the location is more convinient and fits the budget better along with the reception area fitting with the concept.
