Evaluation of editing

 To begin with, I was tasked with critically reviewing the development of editing technology. I believe, that whilst I did this within my post called "The development of editing technology", if i was given the chance to re-do this post now after developing knowledge on the topic, I would add a section for each heading suggesting potential pros and cons for each one as well as giving and example where they were used and how it changed the production. Even so, I find my post on the development of editing technology to be informative and gives the knowledge required. Final Budget Summary

 Crew: £1524 Equipment: £1387.15 Cast:£860 Location: £625 Additional incase unforeseen circumstances: £2500 Final Budget required: £6896.15 Above you will find the final budget created for this production. This was created after careful and detailed research into all the different elements of the production that will require payment. I have added an additional sum of money to the budget as a precaution for any unforseen circumstances such as weather damage to equipment or locations becoming unavailable.  I am happy with the outcome of my final budget as not only does it fit with the rough budget the client and I agreed upon, but it sits considerably lower as well. This is an advantage as if for some unknown reason we were to be forced to go over budget, we would still be more than likely able to fit within the original rough budget of £8250.

Dolly Zooms

  A dolly zoom is where the camera zooms in or out on a subject whilst the camera moves towards or away from the subject; the effect that this aims to create is that the subject should stay the same size but the background compresses/decompresses around them. A good example of this is poltergeist where the character seemingly stays the same size but the setting decompresses, this gives the effect that the hallway grows longer, adding to suspense of the scene. The most well known example of a dolly zoom is the infamous scene from jaws, it is used to show that the character is having an extreme realisation.
