Health and safety

Health and safety is one of the most essential things to consider when using a studio within film. A risk assessment is a fundamental part of managing health and safety and aids to identify and manage the hazards presented by the environment you plan to use. To successfully complete a risk assessment, you must allow time to analyse any areas/equipment you will use to decide what hazards they present, assess the risk of the people being exposed to said hazards and finally, find ways to remove or control said hazards. Before I used the studio, I did a short risk assessment to ensure the room was safe to be in and the equipment was safe to use. Upon entering the room, I first identified all potential hazards and assessed the risk of exposing people to them. Evaluation of editing

 To begin with, I was tasked with critically reviewing the development of editing technology. I believe, that whilst I did this within my post called "The development of editing technology", if i was given the chance to re-do this post now after developing knowledge on the topic, I would add a section for each heading suggesting potential pros and cons for each one as well as giving and example where they were used and how it changed the production. Even so, I find my post on the development of editing technology to be informative and gives the knowledge required.  Cameras: I have decided due to the nature of some of the shots I will be filming, I want to use two cameras for this production. I also decided it would be best to hire two of the same camera so as to get an equal level of quality for the video. I decided to look into hiring these cameras and went to   https://www.hireacamera.com  . Whilst searching through the different types of cameras and reviewing their quality and rental prices I found the  Canon   EOS C300 Mark II, this camera costs £410.40 including VAT per 3 day basis due to needing two of these cameras, this would cost us £820.80 for the 3 days Lighting: For lighting, I have decided to go with a portable option, allowing for fast, do-able transportation, I preferably want a lighting kit with colour filters to enhance the party scene towards the end of the video.
